The Air France Museum is a reference for the dissemination and the preservation of documents, photos , objects, works of art, testimonies to the history of Air France and of aeronautics throughout the twentieth century and until the present day.
It isn't an exibition venue but an information and documentation centre which aims to serve as a resource centre for historians, researchers, novelists, film makers and students.
This website is intended to allow you to familiarise yourself with the history of aeronautics and specifically of civil aviation.
It enables you to have an initial access to the selection we present of posters, models, advertising objects, calendars, toys, uniforms, decorations, first day cover envelopes, watercolours etc.held in the Air France Museum collections.
The collections are physically accessible only when loaned to temporary exhibitions whose theme is aviation.
This website is the only - virtual - place of permanent exhibition of the collections.
The Air France Museum is chaired by Jean Signoret. Its management is voluntary and collective, with a strong support of Air France-KLM.
Taking advantage of the experience gained with the Museum, the new team, brought in by the 2011 Annual General Meeting , will endeavour to extend its network and to develop its influence.
